I’ve been having some amazing chats with my friends, colleagues, and clients about the feeling of helplessness. Often when you feel helpless, you may end up feeling like you are the only person feeling it. It can make you feel detached, alone, disinterested, almost like apathy. It brings you to a standstill. Like you're waiting for a sign, a direction, a connection, or even some guidance, and yet it may not come. It can be pretty easy at this moment in time to feel helpless, especially because of where the world is at the moment. There are many heart-breaking things happening that many people will not be able to change on their own, and so this helplessness will come from feeling saturated by these negative stories and events. But there are many beautiful things that still exist in the world, and even though we can acknowledge the heart-breaking moments, we also need to acknowledge the beautiful things in life.
